Tuesday night our team joined a handful of local sponsors and community members to celebrate the Centennial of American Red Cross service in Southern Arizona.
For the last 100 years, the Red Cross has served a growing population of over 1.4 million people across Pima, Santa Cruz, Cochise, Yuma, La Paz, Graham, and Greenlee counties.
In order to commemorate the Red Cross, the community gathered at Casino del Sol to witness the mystery and mayhem behind Mexican-style professional wrestling, lucha libre. The event took off without a hitch and included live music from Los Nawdy Dogs, a delectable Mexican buffet provided by Casino del Sol, words from keynote speakers Lupita Murillo, Consul Pineda, Jim Click, and Lisa Lovallo only to be followed up with the main event, interactive Lucha Fun.
The proceeds from this event supports the work that the local chapter of Red Cross provides in our community. In the past 12 months, 130,000 individuals have been served by this noble group. We are proud and honored to have been a part of such a fun, unique and charitable event.
